2025 Autumn/Winter Interior Colour Trends

As the cooler months approach, interior design trends are embracing warm and comforting hues that transform living spaces into cosy retreats. Colours we are seeing across both fashion and interiors are drawn from both the 2025 Dulux Colour Forecast and Pantone's Colour of the Year. If you haven’t come across them yet, you won’t unsee them now!

Dulux Colour Forecast 2025

Each year Dulux release their Colour Forecast which takes on board trends from international markets. Colours such as Plum Sauce from the Recollect collection and Ripe Rhubarb from the Emerge collection of 2025 are both deep toned and add a touch of luxury and depth to an interior. Used in either accessories or soft furnishings, these shades of burgundy will keep your interiors on trend this Autumn/Winter.

Pantone's Colour of the Year 2025: Mocha Mousse

Pantone has selected Mocha Mousse (PANTONE 17-1230) as its Colour of the Year for 2025. This rich, chocolatey
brown exudes sophistication and comfort, aligning with the growing trend of incorporating earthy tones into
interior spaces. Mocha Mousse's versatility allows it to be used as a grounding neutral or as a statement colour,
pairing seamlessly with natural materials and textures to create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.

Emerging Colour Trends for Autumn/Winter 2025

In addition to these highlighted colours, several other hues are gaining popularity in interior design for the upcoming seasons.

Rich Burgundies and Wine Hues: Deep reds are making a statement, adding depth and elegance to living spaces. These colours work well in communal areas like living rooms and dining spaces, creating a warm and inviting environment.

Sage and Olive Greens: Soft, muted greens bring a touch of nature indoors, promoting tranquillity and balance. These shades are perfect for bedrooms and bathrooms, fostering a serene and restful ambiance.

Warm Neutrals with Brown Undertones: Colours such as taupe and caramel are being embraced for their ability to add warmth and sophistication without overpowering a space. These neutrals serve as excellent backdrops, allowing accent colours and textures to stand out.

Incorporating 2025's Colour Trends into Your Home

To seamlessly integrate these trending colours into your home, consider the following tips:

  • Accent Walls: Painting a single wall in a bold hue like Mocha Mousse or a rich burgundy can create a focal point without overwhelming the room.
  • Soft Furnishings: Introduce cushions, throws, and rugs in shades of burgundy or sage green to add pops of colour and texture.
  • Decorative Accessories: Incorporate vases, artwork, and other decor items in these trending colours to subtly tie the room together.
  • Layering Textures: Combine different materials such as wood, leather, and textiles in warm neutrals to add depth and interest to your space.

By thoughtfully incorporating these colours and trends, you can create a stylish and comfortable home that reflects the latest in interior design for Autumn/Winter 2025.
