Step 1: Choose Your Colours
There are no wrong answers when it comes to choosing your 6 colours. It’s important to create a colour palette that your partner will love. Whether it’s bold and bright, pastels or monochromatic, this choice comes down to what you think will resonate best with your partner.

Step 2: Prime
Apply 1 coat of Dulux 1StepPrep primer to your 6 Kmart trinket trays. Allow to dry completely.
Expert Tip – You may want to skip this step and get right to painting. However, if you truly want your trinket trays to stand the test of time, priming is an essential step. Remember, never skip the prep.
Step 3: Paint
Apply 2 coats of a single colour of paint to one trinket tray. Allow to dry between coats. Repeat this for each colour and each trinket tray.
Step 4: Write
Once the trinket trays are dry, use the coloured markers to write your romantic messages onto the trinket trays. We used darker shades of our paint colours for our messages.
