D.I.Y Bobbin Photo Frame

If you want to add a personal touch to a gift for someone special, look no further than this fun and easy paint project!

What you need:

• A drop sheet to cover surfaces
• Wood glue (we used UHU Creativ)
• Sanding block
• Clean cloth
• Wooden bobbins
• Spray paint primer (we used Dulux Duramax Undercoat)
• Spray paint in your choice of colours (we used Dulux Duramax in Gloss Hot Lips and Gloss Vivid White)
• Photo frames

Steps:

1. Remove the glass and matt board
2. Give the frame a light sand with your sanding block

3. Dust any excess dust with your cloth
4. Working one side at a time, run a thin line of glue along the edge of the frame and place bobbins on top of glue or place a small dot of glue on the back of each bobbin and stick to frame

5. Repeat until all sides are topped with bobbins

6. Allow to dry according to the instructions for your chosen glue
7. Apply a coat of spray primer and allow to dry

8. Apply 2 x coats of your chosen topcoat colour allowing to dry in between each coat

9. Once dry, put the frame back together and that’s it!
