Perfect for interior walls, windows and trims alike, it stands on its own just as well as with a wide range of other neutral hues – from greiges, blues, and warm whites to soft or cool greys, and more, always offering a touch of elegance coupled with unmatched versatility. Finding a perfect dancing partner for Lexicon Quarter is easy.
Low sheen
Thanks to the use of a special low-sheen finish, it works perfectly in spaces that require a minimal, yet visible light reflection, making it a very popular choice for all the rooms around the house. Low sheen is often considered a great choice among finishes due to its unique properties – it provides a hard-wearing, easy-to-clean and velvety finish, effectively hiding any surface imperfections. Elegant enough for a living room - practical enough for a kitchen.
Wash & Wear Barrier Technology
That hard-wearing finish we've mentioned before is here by courtesy of Wash&Wear® 101 Barrier Technology®, which allows you to effectively get rid of most common marks, stains and scuffs with nothing more but a wet cloth – now your walls will keep their fresh and elegant look for years. The way it works is that this unique Barrier Technology creates an acrylic film-like tightly interlocking protective coating through a formulation of high-quality materials. That’s the secret behind its stain, burnish and scrub resistance.

FAQ
Is this the optimal sheen level for high-traffic areas with darker colours?
Not really, since darker colours tend to show more signs of scuffing and marking compared to lighter colours - that’s why you might want to consider using the latter ones in high-traffic areas instead. If your mind is set on a dark shade, we generally recommend using a protective clear coat or going for a matte finish.
What’s the perfect temperature for applying Dulux Lexicon Quarter?
The product should not be used at temperatures below 10ºC - that means both the ambient temperature and surface temperature, especially during the drying period. To avoid any issues with the freshly applied paint, it should not be exposed to steam or condensation for up to 48 hours after application.
When can I wash the film?
Although the film itself is dry enough to touch after merely 30 minutes, you should wait for 7 days to make sure it's fully cured before washing it for the first time.
What can I use to apply it?
It’s really up to you. The product can be applied with either a brush, roller, air spray or an airless spray. The important thing is that you need to use high-quality tools, otherwise they can potentially affect the finish.
Can I use it on previously painted surfaces?
Absolutely. All you have to do is make sure the surface is clean enough. You can use a sugar soap solution to remove any dirt, grease or oil and rinse it with clean water. Remember to also check the surface for any signs of mildew or mould. Then sand it thoroughly to remove any peeling, flaky or loose paint until the finish is completely dull. Once cleaned, you can apply an acrylic sealer undercoat or primer sealer undercoat.
What about the VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content?
This Dulux product has a low VOC count that meets the requirements for Indoor Environment Credit in Green Star Australia rating tools.
